In our most recent white paper titled, “The Use of Modalities in Wound Care Part 2: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy,” we examine the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) as an adjunctive therapy for diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) with Wagner grades 3 and 4. We found significantly improved healing rates for Wagner grade 3 and 4 DFUs when the patient was able to complete their entire course of treatment.
The white paper also examined HBOT for radiation cystitis and notes that the studies to date suggest that patients benefit most from HBOT when they receive treatment early in the course of this disease to maximize the clinical effects of HBOT.
